I'm enrolled in instant ink but HP says it can't read my ink levels because I don't have an HP color cartridge installed which is not true. It won't detect ink level because it thinks it's not HP. How can I resolve this.

This post has helped me with of the commission of my own. But I still would also like this better to be helped with too. I bought this printer which is OfficeJet 3830. The sales person told me that to use the ink that came with the package first. For its a setup ink cartridge that will help with the process. He also said that don't think that there will be much ink. So I bought an XL cartridge also. I wasn't planning on doing the instant ink until I got a 3 month free trail. So I was like why not. So I started up the trail and the ink is on its way. But this trial is counting my pages with the ink that came with the printer. I have not received the ink yet. So this is my story. I do wish and hope that thisthis Will hopefully be a small matter for me. Thanks for reading this and I am looking forward from hearing from you.

Cyan Ink Won't Print Hp 6978
Hello,
cyan, magenta, and yellow were empty.
bought a new set
after installation, the cyan would not print.
I have removed and reinstalled, ran 3 head printing routines, then a hard reset.
I have also tried a copy and the cyan does not print on the copy either.
Does this imply a hardware problem?
The printer is still under warranty, but does HP really have you mail the printer back to them? This does not seem cost-effective.
Is there any other maintenance that I should try? Or is it time to call HP for another one?

Use black ink only? on HP Officejet 7610 Printer
I have read on a previous post from 2014 that this printer cannot print with only black ink, that it has to have color and black ink installed in order to operate. This is unacceptable!
I also read on the printers manual, on page 270:
"To temporarily print using Black ink only, click Use Black Only . The printer will replace color with grayscale. The empty cartridges will need to be replaced soon. CAUTION: Do NOT remove the empty color cartridge to print in Use Black Only mode."
I have tried this and and many other options and nothing seems to work. Please HP I need assistance with this issue.

Internet connection
I just bought an hp stream laptop.
I use a modem at home for my internet.
ideally when i slot it into a new computer the set up is automatic it comes and you follow through for it to install and then you connect to the internet.
Unfortunately my new laptop though shows the device when i want to eject is not setting up the software and so i can not access the internet.
Does this laptop only use wifi or it works with a modem also to connect to the internet?
Is there a way i can resolve this.

HP 6970 - how to scan from printer touch screen using ADF to a PDF?
Hi,
I am trying to scan multiple pages using the ADF via the printer touchscreen interface and not through the PC.
I only got the printer to use "windows fax and scan application" and this application doesnt support saving the files to PDF.
So the only option to scan using the ADF to a PDF is by using the HP software on the PC and this is less convinient.
Is there an option to get windows to open another scan program other than "windows fax and scan application" that does support saving to PDF when using the printer touch screen interface (In the printer properties under "scan properties"-> "events" there only options for "scan" that scans automatic to an image file or the "windows fax and scan application" that can also scan only to image files)?

Instant Ink disconnects from my printer every day
Every single day my brand new instant ink registered printer disconnects from the HP Connected web site. As instructed by the site, I turn off ePrint then turn it back on. It still does not reconnect when I click on the little blue circular arrow icon on the upper right-hand area of the HP Connected web page. The only thing that seems to work is to actually waste printing from the printer console the page that contains the printer's email address. It does reconnect when I do this, but now I have wasted printing a useless page that I will get charged for. And a few hours later the connection goes away.
My printer is wirelessley conected to my Verizon FiOS router and is constantly visible on my home network and when I sent something to the printer's ePrint email address, even when it is 'disconected' according to HP Connected, what I send gets printed.
I don't have the time to f around with this kind of thing. Fix it.
Please don't advise me to do a soft reset of the printer, an unplug the printer and wait 1 minute, or reinstall the drivers. I have already done that.

Re: HP Deskjet 6122 driver for MS Windows 10 64bit
HELP !! Initially I was going to get a Win 10 computer but instead opted for a Win 7 Pro 64 bit. HP support sent me to your link at the time when I was thinking of Win 10. The computer I replaced was an older Win 7 Pro 64 bit. At that time I had to use the 990c driver for my HP Deskjet 6122 and it worked perfectly. On the old computer I could find the driver listed where you show to go for drivers. BUT, now, 990c is not listed and I cannot find ANYWHERE on the web to download the driver. You have got to help me; I swear by the 6122 and hope to get it up and running again.

Printer wont print because of cartridge problems
Hello,
I am having problems with my printer... all of a sudden it has cartridge problems with no explanation why it do that.
I have turned it on/off to reboot it, no prevail. I have pulled out the cartridges and put them back in, still no joy...
Will my instant ink replace the faulty cartridge ? since it is the colour one that has stopped working
I reset the logs... the printer lost it's waranty thing, or how long is a waranty of the printer ?

No colour printing thru computer
Direct (manual) printing presents no problem - exceptional colour for older printer.
When printing is requested, all tht I get is black and white.

Officejet 8710 - Colour cartridges depleted, won't let me print in B&W
I just want to print in Black & White but the 8710 won't let me unless I replace ALL color cartridges. I only use the printer for home use with documents. I don't want to spend a fortune on color cartridges that I won't use. How do I bypass so I can just print B&W? I've tried all the other suggestions like Advanced settings and making in black ink only but it still won't let me
