Paper misfeeding

The paper seems to keep misfeeding when I'm printing resulting in the top part being missed off the page and I'm left with a large blank space at the bottom of the page. I've checked the paper feed and fanned the paper etc.

 


HP Envy 5020 Fault: Freezes on start up

Hi, my HP Envy 5020 printer has developed a fault. It freezes on start up, displaying the HP logo and only two black dots. As per attached photo below. Any help would be much appreciated.

Ink Cardriges

May I use hp 906xl in my printer instead of 902xl.  I ordered new ink from HP and they sent me the wromg one or I ordered the wrong one by mistake.  Bottom line is I have the wrong cardrige.  

Horizontal lines across page, even show on print quality diagnostic page

I’ve been having this problem ever since I bought this printer 2 years ago. Although I seem to remember I resolved it once but I can’t remember what I might have done.

 

I first noticed it when I printed photos; I get horizontal lines across the page. But it’s more than that.

 

Today I ran print quality diagnostic and went through all three level of print cleaning. But the lines are still visible in the print quality report. (see attached photo). HP 5740 print quality 1.jpgI’m using HP cartridges. I see the lines even when I use photo paper and select “best quality”. I’ve updated software, restarted and all the other fundamental “solutions”. When I do a search I see this problem come up quite a bit. I’d really like to resolve it.

Printer Cartridges out of alignment and can't fix because black ink not printing on Deskjet 3522

Installed new ink cartridges and black ink immediately stopped printing on my HP Deskjet 3522. The other colors print fine. I've followed all of the troubleshoot tips contained in this forum including:

 

1. running Align Printer utility mutliple times (no black ink prints on alignment page, so the page cannot be detected when scanned)

2. running Clean Printhead utility multiple times

3. removing black ink cartridge and cleaning the little sliver screen thinking that it might be clogged

 

How do you fix the alignment if you can't get the black ink to print?

 

Seems like a serious flaw in design...

Printer won't print black ink

My printer will not print black in but all colors work fine. I tried replacing the ink cartridge with a new one and that did not resolve the issue. I was in contact with support and tey told me to do the troubleshooting steps on this link https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-photosmart-5510-e-all-in-one-printer-duplexer-series-b111/5159859/model/5147780/document/c03425035 … which I did but none of those resolve the issue either. My printer is out of warranty so I am forced to communicate through twitter which I don't use regularly. I would rather speak to a representative over the phone but I am not allowed. If anyone has any solutions please respond!

HP Photosmart Premium c309n False Paper Jam, Carriage Stuck

Today I turned on my HP Photosmart Premium c309n printer, and it told me there was a paper jam.  So I trouble shooted, and found the following solutions which did not work from HP support.  I tried removing the duplex from the back and checking for bits of paper, I tried opening the top to where the ink was and looking for bits of paper, and in both cases I found no paper.  I tried unplugging it for 60 seconds and then turning it on.  The error kept persisting.  I did notice that when I opened the top of the printer, the ink carriage seemed to try to move to the center but it never moved from the right side.  Following instructions, I unplugged the printer directly while it was open to see if I could move the carriage.  It is definitely stuck on the right hand side, and nothing I could do caused to it move.  Of course, I don't really know if this is intended or not (maybe it is a safety thing?), so I am not sure if it is related to my issue.  

 

Regardless, all the white rollers I could find spun just fine, so I don't think there is a paper jam, even though it keeps telling me there is one.  I also of course tried removing the paper from the paper tray, etc.  

 

Any other suggestions?

I'm completely new to this and have never owned an HP before! I ordered an ENVY 7155 series and would like to apply for the free 5-month trial for instant ink. If you could, please let me know how I should go about doing this. and then how to get the ink sent to my house month to month after the trial is over.

 

I can't wait to hear back and to get printing! :)

Inkjet3830 not detectable by computer

My OfficeJet 3830 stopped connecting to my computer last month. At that time, I reset the router and it was able to print. It has now stopped working again. I have reset the router, the printer, and have been attempted to just reinstall it all together. The printer itself is fully connected to our wifi. Yet, it remains undetected by the computer. I noticed that my MAC address on the printer does not match the address on my MAC and am wondering if that could be the issue. How do I fix this?

5610 printing very slowly

Pinting  and copying is glacier-like slow...minutes per line. Have verified settings (Normal, etc), unplugged/plugged back in, completely uninstalled / reinstalled the dirvers from HP Support site, checked the cartridges (which are brand new, orig HP)/verified ink flow...both color and black. Connection is direct via USB, using the printer's usb cable.

 

At a loss here...any direction/recommendations to resolve appreciated.

When I Load Small Photo Paper The Printer Dont Find it

Hi, I Got A HP Envy Photo 7134

and when i load 10X15 paper into the small photo paper tray it wont let me click on the tab to select what size paper i just put in for that tray as that small tray is greyed out ,

meaning when i want to print this size photo the printer thinks the tray is empty and tells me to load paper into the tray when paper is in the try.

 

any ideas on what i can do so i can set the paper thats in the small photo try in that greayed out tab?

Instant Ink Questions

I have read the Terms of Service for Instant Ink.  I bought a HP 7855 inkjet printer and want to enroll.  There are a lot of codes for 6-9 months free instant ink.  I read the TOS, and it states: "No Downgrades. If a Participant upgrades an Enrolled Printer from the 15-Free Program to a paid Service Plan (an “Upgraded Printer”), the Participant may not subsequently downgrade the Upgraded Printer in order to return to the 15-Free Program. Additionally, a Participant may not downgrade a printer from a paid Service Plan to the 15-Free Program."

 

I want to get the 6-9 months free, but after I want the 15-page program.  The terms talk about downgrading from a paid plan, but mentions nothing of a trial.  If I take advantage of the trial, can I change to the 15-page plan, or do I just have to start the 15-page plan from the beginning and not take advantage of the 6-9 months free?

 

Also if a double-sided page printed count as 1 or 2 pages?  Is a page literally a page, or is it a "side" or a page?

Missing setup cartridges

Hi,

 

I've always used HP printers and had the opportunity to upgrade to a newer all-in-one. I've been given a HP Envy 6230 printer but didn't realise I can't use it without setup cartridges! This seems a unfortunate way of setting up printers acquired legimately and I've just bought also genuine ink cartridges! Please can you describe the way to bypass this setup process so I can use what hopefully will be a good printer.

Do I need to have all cartridges non-empty even if I only use black?

My printer prints a blank page. I've tried the different solutions on the support page "Printer Prints a Blank Page or Does Not Print Black or Color Ink for the HP Deskjet 3070A e-All-in-One Printer Series", but no luck.

I do have some empty colour cartridges, but since I only want to print black and white I would believe that's ok? Or do I need to get all new cartridges to be able to print ?
