Printing photo which is sepia/ black -HP Photosmart 7520

I use a PC with Windows 7  and  HP Photosmart 7520-all in one.  The cartridges are genuine HP ones and new, except for the photo cartridge. None are low in ink.  The 7520 is a recent purchase and I have no problems with ordinary text printing or printing colour digital photos.

I have 2 old photos which have been emailed to me - they are sepia coloured or black/white.

Problem 1

One photo of an old lorry comes out sepia  with a teal green splodge covering the lower right quadrant.  The second photo is of a wedding and the mens' suits are the same green.   I tried altering the printer settings re grayscale - no difference to result.

Problem 2

I have tried to use the photo tray and 4X6 paper but get an error message to load paper in the main tray.

Any help would be much appreciated.  Thank you.
