I have a Deskjet 1000-J110 series printer. My operating system is Windows 7 64-bit.
During the past week, I keep getting error messages regarding my printer cartridges. I've had the printer for the past year, used up the starter cartridges, and installed 61 XL black and 61 XL tricolor HP cartridges. Because I work at the place where I purchased them in the electronics department and sell HP products all day long, I have no reason to believe that they are not genuine HP ink cartriges.
First I got messages to the effect that one of the printer cartridges were suspected to be counterfeit or was low, but as I had not used them that much I knew that was not the case. I could print one page just fine, and then the error message would pop up on the second page that I tried to print.
It got so bad that I literally had to restart my computer for each page that I wanted to print so that I could limp along and print one page, have the error message pop up on the second page that I was trying to print, and then restart my computer again.
Finally, tonight I decided to unistall my printer and then reinstall my driver using a download from the hp.com website. Now I'm getting an error message that my tricolor cartridge is not installed correctly. So I removed the cartridge, put it back in, and the printer worked fine for one page.
Now that same error message is pulling up again.
Any help or advice that you can provide would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
