I accidengally loaded a bunch of pictures into the printer queue. I have no idea how to clear it. I have never had the need to do that before with this computer & printer. I cannot print anything else till I get those out.
When the printer starts to print I press the little red X to cancel. It cancels, but then goes on to the next one. When I clear one, does it take that one out of the queue?
Asked to help with the installation of a 3780 OfficeJet. The SSID and WPA2 key are known, but the 3780 software seems outdated, recognizing only WPA. The WPA2 router connects nicely to other hardware, so that is not where the problem lies.
Is there a way around to connect to WPA2, or is a software update for the 3780 available?
When photocopying the copy comes out with lines across the page, largely obscuring the copied content.
My printer is an hp OfficeJet 4500.
I reinstalled my printer so that it was on the same internet as my laptop but as soon as I had selected it to print an error message came up saying Attention REquired
Is the printer HP Envy 5530 compatible with the Mac OS X 10.6.8 operating system?
There have been a couple of other posts about this printer flashing a blue screen with error code B8867684 before displaying a message about there being an error & informing you to restart the machine, but no fixes. Has this issue been resolved or is the printer effectively bricked?

Installed printer on 2 computers. Want to print 2 sided. No option given in settings except manually print both sides. Can go to printer properties to choose 2 sided printer there, but not an option under settings. Shouldn't the option for 2 sided printing show up under settings?
Also when click "Find more print settings" under the Settings in Print menu, get error message warning that "A serious problem occurred the last time Word attempted to retrieve print settings from HPE04E66 (HP EVNY 7640 series). If click "connect to printer", Word freezes. (Happens on both computers). Is there any way to fix that?
Downloaded latest software because scan function did not work. Upon installation, nothing worked. Need printer to print. Uninstalled everything and reinstalled. Clicked on "Print sample page" and got this message on taskbar: "Printer in error state." Everything else seems in order: No blinking lights on panel, printer is turned on, USB cable is connected. So what do I do about "error state?"
My printer and laptop is connected to wifi. Printer can send the data to computer while scanning but my computer cannot connect to the printer to print. On HP Print & Scan doctor, I cannot print on the 1st test, but can print on the 2nd test. HP Print and support doctor says that it cannot fix the issue and uninstall and re-install the printer. I did it but is still not working. Is there any reason why is it happening?
I did not recently upgrade to windows 10 and I have scanned in the past month. I went to scan today and it said computer not found and make sure scan to computer was enabled, which it was. Then I tried the HP doctor and that seemed to fix the display on the printer. It looked like it was going to scan, but then an error message popped up on my laptop that said HP Envy 4500 series not found. However, I can still print wirelessly from my laptop to the printer.
I'm so confused. Oh, and I also checked to make sure drivers were up to date. TIA
I followed solution given 6-3-16 to remove anything inside the tiny glass slit. I still have the black line. Is there anything else I can do? Can the glass be removed for clearning?

Windows 10 constantly notifies me there are updates for HP Photosmart 7520 series printer. These updates will not down load nor will they install. I am really frustrated with the lack of HP support. I am about to disconnect this printer and trash it and find another. I find this "wireless neworked" printer to only randomly work.
I recently purchased the HP Envy 4520. Now it appears as though that was the biggest mistake EVER! I would love to know the genius who decided it was wise to install a pop-up feature with the printer so that randomly throughout the day you’d receive ads on where and how to purchase HP toner cartridges. I spent the last two days checking HP forums and HP chats and realized that most frustrated customers have encountered the same runaround that I have. I’ve found AT BEST you can only disable it so that it doesn’t go on during your entire PC experience, you can reduce it so that it will only pop up each and every time you print. Has anyone experiencing this problem been able to complete disable this pop up feature?
The printer is connected to the network. The computers are connected to the network. They are all on the smae netwrok. Every computer in the house can "see" the printer. Every time we try to add the printer the computer asks for the WPS Pin. We did not connect with a WPS pin, and in spite of what the connection wizard (both HP and windows) says it is not in the literature (I looked through EVERY scrap of paper that came with this new printer) nor is it ANYWHERE on, in, inside, or displayed on the printer. I would like to be able to print.
I have powered everything down and up (router, printer and every computer), unistalled and reinstalled the softward from the web and from the disk, ran the "troubleshoot HP installation failure - Network" trouble shooter as well as the "Print and Scan Doctor."
So...any sugestions other than returning this printer and buying a different brand?
Love the printer so far....except now when we print a flier from our printshop 3.5 program it prints squares around certain things.............it did not do that at first....
like the letter R looks fine on the computer,,but then when printed it comes out with the R in a box.....what do we do to fix that?

Just received this refurbished printer 2 wks ago from HP to replace one that had a printhead problem. The printing initially worked but now I'm getting the "printer in an error state" message when I try to print. The screen on the front of the printer automatically goes blank as well, like it's shutting itself off.
Printer will not print the custom sized envelope. It just spits out the envelope not printed.
I am running Windows 10 (64-bit). I recently purchased the HP OfficeJet Pro 8710. I have followed all the instructions and get to the point when it asks how I'd like to set up the network connection. I choose wirelessly. It runs for a long while and then tells me I cannot connect and there may be an issue with the firewall. I'm running Avast (most updated version) of the program and that is my only firewall.
To test it, I disabled the firewall and attemped to connect again. It gave me the same error. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times.
The curious thing is that my wife has an HP Envy and is running Avast and the same 64-bit Windows 10, but the computer installed seemlessly for her. I've run through most of trouble shooting ideas and am coming up empty. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
