I have an HP Photosmart 2610xi that I use infrequently, but I use it primarily to print payroll checks using a program called CheckMark. When put a check in to print, it prints very slowly, and the printed text is purplish in color. It also pauses occasionally, flashing on the screen "Pausing to allow ink to dry". In short, when printing a check, the printer behaves as is it were printing a photo. I have been through the properties, preferences and settings, which I normally have set to "Fast Draft" mode. It is as if the printer automatically detects the different paper and changes settings on its own. For example, if I print the same check on standard copy paper withouth adjusting any settings, it shoots it right out, no problems. I'm totally stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
