I'm looking at two printers that are sold in my region, M227fdw vs. M281fdw.
The former is cheaper, and I'm trying to figure out which one is a "newer design" and has released later, so it might be a better design and product altogether to purchase.
Can you help me figure this out? Where are the release dates of these laser printers posted?
the phots are to show the difference between the original roller kit and the new roller kit. The new assembly has a copper strip on the right side of the assembly with a resistor (as seen in phots). When the new assembly is installed in the printer it doesn't seem to be reconized by the printer. (displays INSTALL ROLLER UNIT)
Installed a new modum, now the printer won't scan.
My printer started printing only the left one-half of the page.
I can not print. I have purchase new ink but it still states Missing or failed printhead. Printhead appears to be missing, not detected or incorrectly installed. What do I do? I know they are installed correctly as usual. What else could it be?
I currently have a M281CDW laserjet printer and I was printing on small coin envelopes (3.5"x6.5").....at first it was printing well and after about 500, it just stopped. Now it will print 1 or 2..then say jammed even though there is no jam.
Now my question is..does this sound like something that can be fixed? Or are there any recommendations on a printer that can handle printing small envelopes?

Printer shows ready but roller icon has red line and won't print. Can't find paper stuck anywhere.

I have the same issues with some of you but when I follow the DCC upgrade instructions, to click USB - PRINT DOCUMENT, I could not find the command PRN - DDCV1_51.PRN.

WHY DOSE MY PRINTER COME ON WHEN I USE THE PHONE
I was getting a 50.4 fuser error just replaced the fuser assembly and now getting a 50.2 error, Didn't replace the power supply either low or high voltage. Don't know what the next step is. Don't want to spend more money only to find out that it doesn't fix the problem. Suggestions?

I'm on the verge or ordering a Canon i-SENSYS MF742Cdw Laser printer. I just want to confirm one last thing before I do.....
With my current printer (HP 9010) I need to have all colours to print, even though I only need to print in black.
My question is - If I buy the MF742, can it print with just the black cartridge installed?

I am fatching a problem with HP Printer's ADF. ADF is not catch paper.
I have recently (5 weeks ago) bought a HP479FDW. Nothing has moved the printer or nudged it or anything. There has never been a low toner warning. All of a sudden, it comes up with this error "The indicated supplies are not communicating correctly with the printer. Try reinstalling the supply to continue.".
Have reinstalled the toner in question a few times. Hasn't worked.
Having looked around this forum, it seems it is not an isolated incident. Seems to be a problem with the starter CYAN cartridge for the 479FDW. Can this be looked into?
If it is running out of toner, should it not give us plenty of warning? I suspect the toner is not out as the other cartridges are still at least 65% full. What troubleshooting steps can I take to identify the problem?

Printer occasionally (every 2-3 copies) leaves a small 1' x 2' blank spot on page and always in different place
Trying to set up a wifi connection. My mac settings identifies the printer with the Bonjour multifunction. But when I click on Add, it tries to set up I get a message that the printer cannot be verified or connected, yet it displays the name and model. Works well with cable and I have updated the driver.
Double sided printing issue. Have already uninstalled/reinstalled/updated drivers, etc.
Printing using system dialogue; everything set up for double sided printing. I get message saying printer will stop after even number pages, reload and press continue. BUT the printer doesn't stop, and simply continues with the odd number pages on new paper upside down.
Anyone managed to fix this as I've tried all the fixes I found online for duplex related problems.

finally got my hp6970 set up for wireless direct but now wont print USB direct. I need to be able to switch back and forth between usb direct and wireless. Primary used USB direct
HP Officejet Pro 8620 e-All-in-One Printer + "The printhead appears to be missing, not detected, or incorectly installed" message.correctly installed" error message. "Clean printhead" did not work; generated same error message. Following instuctions on HP site I removed printhead and cleaned. got same error message. should I order new printhead or are there any other options?
