Hi, I have an old but functional HP 4200 All in one which has functioned reliably for basic printing over the past few years. I have been using it with the same PC running Windows Vista for a good few years for my minimal printing needs. I use McAfee Internet Security (firewall).
In the past few weeks, I cannot print anything (from internet; notepad or Office 2007). There are no error messages. The printer aligns the cartridges, makes all the sounds as though it will print and then proceeds to print one word every few minutes and skips a lot of the content. I have not changed any of the existing configurations.
I have run the HP diagnostic tool (which ran successfully); done a partial reset to clear out the NVRAM per the instructions on this forum; reinstalled the drivers, tried printing with the firewall turned off but still the problem persists.
Any suggestions please? Many thanks in advance.
