I have a workhorse HP 845c that I use to print Hallmark Create a Card greeting cards on a Windows XP SP3 laptop. When I print from within the app I can define custom paper sizes that match the cardstock I use, and it always prints out perfectly. I recently was forced, kicking and screaming, to purchase a new Windows 8 laptop, and although the printer installed with little to no prompting using the HWQL drivers, and it prints out great, my custom paper size is no longer an option, and I can no longer print my greeting cards; my friends and family are understandably distraught by this. Thinking that maybe I would need to purchase a new printer to go with my new laptop I did some research a couple weeks ago and discovered that the DeskJet 3510 can do custom paper sizes! Great! Today, I went to a local office supply store that shall remain nameless and when I went to check the tech specs there was no mention of Custom Paper sizes.... so I went back to HP and checked the specs there and although it does still support Custom, it only does so on a *gasp* MACINTOSH! Am I wrong? Is the ability to select Custom Paper sizes in Windows 8 removed! Please help me with this issue. Thank you!
