Recently my D5160 has been offsetting DVD & CD lable printing by apporx 3mm toward the front of the printer. In other words the CD or DVD is 3mm to far into the machine when printing begins.
Question: Is there a means to realign the location of the CD/DVD tray before printing begins? The error is consistent and repeatable. Can someone at HP knowledgeable with this printer explain how the DVD/CD tray is positioned to trigger the print start function? Stepper motor or an optical sensor? If optical - access for cleaning??
Documents print out fine without any issue. CD/DVD's print well except for the annoying offset which voids use of full disk labeling.
The printer is connected to a Lenovo tower running Win 7 Home Edition. Label program is Roxio's Surethng Disk labeler.
Any tech help/feedback is very welcome. Printer has been a workhorse for write on DVD/CD's but with the offset it may be time to move on.
