Deskjet D2660 - Windows 8.1 - Won't Print - Errors out

Hello!

I have a HP Deskjet D2660. I have a Dell

Inspiron 15R 5521

. I have Windows 8.1 64-bit.

When I try to print a document, or .pdf file the printer will sometimes just let the document sit in queue and changes the "status to mutiple symbols such as *!^#%~~*& instead of saying "printing, error, deleting, etc.... Sometimes the HP Solution Center will send a pop-up and tell me that the printer can not print. Sometimes I get a communication error. But regardless I am unable to print full pages. when the printer decides that it wants to print it will print 1/4 of the document and stop with a pop up that only says "the document failed to print" the HP Solution center also pops up and says the same thing.

I have tried the "guided solutions". I have stopped and restarted the "Print Spooler" from the device manager. I have unistalled and reinstalled my printer software multiple times as well as removed and reinstalled all hp drivers associated with this printer model. I have ran the HP Doctor program. I have used the "HP Updater" which tells me there are no updates and that I am up to date. All of this to no avail. I need a solution that works and I need it as soon as possible. I am to the point where I am ready to take this printer and run it over with my truck because being able to print is a very important aspect of my home office as I prepare tax returns and need to be able to print. I do not want to change printers because this printer has always been reliable and does exactly what I need for it to do, PRINT DOCUMENTS and .PDF files. But now it won't do that.

Please help me get this resolved as soon as possible! I appreciate any and all suggestions that I have not tried!
