I have an HP officejet pro 8500A909(a) and have recently transferred to windows 8.1 - I have loaded the driver updates and everything works fine on the computer until I try to print from Practice Manager, software accessed via an internet hosted server. I can print correspondence apart from .pdfs emailed to me on that server, but chiefly when I try to print off photo thumbnails direct, they are completely blacked out, and the .pdfs, if in form format, also have blacked out sections. I have to forward by email to my computer, where they print off fine. Photos stored in my computer "pictures" folder also print off fine. I have been in touch with the software providers for the hosted server who maintain that this is an issue with my printer - and that I need to contact HP . If this were an issue with HP would it not be the case that the photos would not print from applications on the computer? I dont want to update the printer only to have the same issues. Does anyone have any ideas? many thanks
