Photosmart will test print but will not print from any applications

I've just installed my C7280 onto a new computer running windows 7. I have down loaded all the latest drivers and patches. The prnter is connected by cable to my PC.

I can print a test print from the solutions centre but not from any applciation such as word, outlook, webpage. 

Any help appreciated
