How do I scan using HP Officejet from Photoshop?

Hi

I used to have an age old HP Officejet G95, which I use to scan old documents. Today I upgraded to HP Officejet 7610 because I wanted to do A3 scans. 

However, Photoshop (CS4) does not give me the option to import from the Office Jet 7610. I use a MacBookPro running Mac OS 10.6.8. I can also not make scan to computer work on the new Officejet. I keeps giving me "Connection Problems" despite the fact that I can print from the same laptop without any problems.

Please help. Right now the new scanner/Officejet is useless.
