I have 2 customers that have Color LaserJet CP1215's connected locally via USB. About a month or two ago they noticed that they had to wait a few minutes prior to being able to print once they sent an initial print job regardless of size or complexity.
I removed and re-installed the printer (on both machines) and it did not resolve the issue. I even deleted the cached drivers in "C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\hpcp1215.inf_amd64..." and re-installed but that did not resolve the issue.
Also, I took one of the printers having the problem and attached it to my computer. I copied the cached drivers from the customer's computer to MY C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository and the printer installed and prints fine. So I know it is not the print drivers or a hardware issue.
P.S. I timed how long it takes for the print queue to clear on the problem machines and it takes actually 2 minutes. I'm sure my customers feel it takes a lot longer :-). Both computers are running Windows 7 SP1. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!
