I set up our new hp oj 251dw on our wired (ethernet) network at work. AT the printer console, I typed in the fixed IP address for the printer, the subnet mask, Gateway IP, DNS etc. The software installed without a problem and when I perform a discovery it shows the printer with the correct IP on the list of all our network printers. I can also ping the IP address I gave the printer. The wireless is not on as I only want to use it on our wired ethernet network. The problem is whenever I send a test print to the printer I get a "failed to print" message. ALSO, when I type the IP address of the printer in the internet browser I get the "page cannot be displayed" message. I have about 10 other HP printers installed on our network and did not have these kinds of problems ever. I ran the update IP address and it comes back with it cannot find the printer. IF it cannot find the printer how did it install it in the first place? I printed off the configuration page and it contains the correct IP information for the printer, gateway, DNS, etc. I have already checked the ethernet cables/connections, the switch, and the printer settings and I still cannot print to this printer. HELP PLEASE before I send this printer back for a refund.
