Hi there, I am using a HP 1000 J110 series on a Win 7-64 bit system.
It seems my black ink will not print. It is a relatively new cartridge, as I ran out of my original at the end of spring semester. Have had this current cartridge since early summer, however it has not been often used. Less than 10 pages, I'd wager.
After perusing these forums, I have run the HP Print and Scan doctor and cleaned the print heads via that option. Alignment is fine, and everything else checks out there. My diagnostic page has no black print at all - comes up blank - and the post-cleaning print out from the doctor program has very faint blue lettering where the black should be; the black to grey boxes are reddish brown. General printing projects are coming up very faintly, which prompted me initially to look into this issue. I have also run the toolbox cleaning program up to the third level, with no improvement noted.
Any suggestions and assistance to remedy this issue is greatly appreciated.
