Running Windows 8 (not 8.1). Installed Envy 4500 wirelessly with no issues. Per Windows 8 installed is in my wireless network. Prints HP information beautifully. Scans wireless to printer just fine. Then print from a word processing or any other selected Windows application and output goes to print queue, and disappears, without printing.
The same thing happens via USB connection.
I have searched this message board and numerous other Windows 8 customers are experiencing the same problem. I have seen suggestions repeatedly to run Print and Scan Doctor and Install Wizard, both of which I've tried without success. I've yet to see a solution dating from November to present. Is there one??
The posts I've seen are from those technially aware enough to even look in the print queue and further describe the problem. Which highlights the serousness of the problem for this printer as it may be affecting many other customers.
I am frankly surprised that HP folks responding on this board do not have a 4500 installed under a virgin Windows 8 system where they can perhaps reproduce the problem for HP level 3 level support. Assuming this has not been attempted.
I really would like to keep this printer as it is very nicely designed but cannot if it won't print my apps.
I do have a question how does one do a clean uninstall to start over?
Thanks for any assistance.
