We purchased our HP Photosmart 5510 printer around 6 months ago, alongside our TouchSmart PC, and, up until now, both have been working really well.
However, a few weeks ago, randomly, when I sent a document to print, the printer started making an extremely loud noise, sounding almost like there was something stuck in the back of it. Purely to make the noise stop, I cancelled the print and turned it off, which again triggered the loud noise. Turning it back on again, it made the same noise, and, before turning to the usual screen a notice on the printer monitor flashed up saying that the device had turned itself off incorrectly.
This has been going on for a few weeks now, and after scouring your website for any details I couldn't find anything on this issue. After detecting that some other factors may have come into it, I looked at some of your videos on how to fix paper misfeeds etc. After tugging out a bit of paper from the back, which I thought was the culprit for the whole thing, the message on the monitor said that there was an "ink cartridge problem" or that it couldn't detect paper, even though we've just replaced the ink and I kept topping the paper up. I watched the troubleshooting videos on both of these issues, and tried the 20 seconds etc. trick, but nothing worked.
I really am so frustrated and would like a little bit of help from a very kind person out there?
:)
