I have a deskjet 2510. Ever since it arrived, it occasionally fails to communicate with my PC but when I use the PC again the issue seems resolved. This time however, when I want to print something I can get a print preview but when I actually press print the paper goes through the printer but nothing prints. I have tried re installing the printer but although it shows as a device on the PC it doesn't recognise it when I plug in the USB cable. I have tried to use the diagnostic tool but that tells me that the device isn't properly installed and I should reinstall it. But, when I try to do this again it isn't recognised by the PC when I connect the USB.
It does tell me that the ink levels are okay.
If it isn't connected how is it getting the message to print but what it should be printing? Totally confused
