Hi:
I have a new HP Photosmart 6525 e-all-in-one printer.
Issue 1:
When the printer was first setup...running the setup.exe file, once all was successful,
it asked you to choose a photo to print on 4"x6" Advanced Photo Paper supplied with the printer.
It printed just fine...nice looking.
Now, I try to print a jpeg picture that I have an my laptop.
The 4"x6" photo paper is as before...lying glossy side down in the photo tray.
When I print, the printer grabs 8 1/2 '' x 11" HP multipurpose paper from the larger tray,
even though I specified that it was a photo of size 4" x 6" !
If I remove the multipurpose paper from its tray, when I try to print, the printer says that I am out of paper.
Note: I have at least 10 sheets of 4" x 6" photo paper in its tray.
So, even though I tell it to print a photo on 4" x 6" photo paper, it keeps looking for paper in the 8 1/2 " x 11" tray.
I have shut the printer down, waited , restarted it, and the same error occurs.
Issue 2:
I also have the problem of thin white stripes, about the size of thick sewing thread, running from left-to-right along the width (8 1/2" side) of the paper. These stripes are separated vertically along the length of the paper by 9/16".
So,
each line , runs along the width of the paper....thus, 8 1/2 " long, parallel to the short edge of the paper.
Additional lines, parallel to these are separated vertically in the printout, ass you move down the length.
These lines are gaps ... where the the printer is not printing ink....you have white lines in the printouts.

The gap problem is for for both, photo and text printouts:
I use 20 pound, 96 brightness, HP multipurpose paper, and the lines are very noticeable.
I did not notice the gaps when the printer printed the initial test picture: this is due to the number of pixels (ink dots)
being printed in much smaller area (so you dont' see them), along with the ink colors blending together.
I have not tried printing a photo on a 8 1/2" x 11" photo sheet, since it would waste my setup ink cartridges.
If these are problems, I need to return the printer.
Any ideas ?
