Several months ago, I went to purchase a lazer printer at Staple and at the advise of the sale rep, I purchased the HP 6100 Multi printer. I believe I printed a few pages before the printer stated I needed to replace the black ink cartridge. I couldn't believe how fast it ran out of ink. Anyway I went to staples and purchased the black ink cartridge. When I installed the ink cartridged, now it's telling I need to install the color cartridge which originally stated they were full. Note I never removed them. I read in the instruction that it was possible to print in black ink only, which is what I normally do anyway but it turns out that it's not posible. I read a note from an HP rep that it's to save the printer from damaged but it sounds like a bunch of bull **bleep** to me. To me, it's hp way of getting it's clients to spend money on buying their products but I'm ready to through this printer in the garabge. hp, you will no longer get anymore of my business. I don't care if I have to spend more money on an expensive lazer printer, but as long as it works and that it's not a hp, I won't mind. hp has lost my business for good. No printer, no computer, nothing that has the name hp stamped to it!!!
