HP LaserJet P2015 - ProRes 1200 (180 lpi) option not available on Windows 7

Hi,

I've got LaserJet P2015 connected via USB. I'm getting relatively lighter and pixelated prints from Windows 7 when compared to prints from Windows XP.

I've installed printer specific drivers on Windows XP which comes with Toolbox Fx as well. So in XP under Print Quality I have the following options:

  • ProRes 1200 (132 lpi)
  • ProRes 1200 (180 lpi)
  • FastRes 1200
  • 600 dpi

On Windows 7, I've installed UPD 5.7.0 PCL 6 drivers, and have fewer Print Quality options:

  • 600 dpi
  • FastRes 1200
  • ProRes 1200

I don't have ProRes 1200 (180 lpi) option and I think because of that I'm getting lighter prints. Right now prints from Windows 7 matches ProRes 1200 (132 lpi) of Windows XP.

How do I adjust the print density higher on Windows 7 for LaserJet P2015, so I can get darker prints?

Or how do I change lpi on Windows 7? What do I configure to get darker and crispier prints on Windows 7?

Thanks
