Very sorry and upset at the post warranty technical support of HP

I purchased a HP printer (small home printer) after a long stint with another brand, which had become old.

 

I narrowed down on HP mostly because of cartridge advantages, as my printing needs are very low volume (my daughte's projects at school) and color based.

 

To my dismay, right from date of purchase, the printer did not print even a single page properly

I had purchased from Mercy electronics, contacted them, they informed it is support probnlem, contact HP support.

 

Meanwhile, since the printer was not used for sometime, I suspected the cartridge had got dry. I took it to a reputed cartridge trader (cartridge world, Thiruvanmiyur) He said yes, and offered to either re-fill it or buy new. I chose to buy new, since HP does not recommend refillilng, though it would have saved me at least 500 bucks

 

After cartridge change, another problem cropped up, now it said 'cartridge not recognised' went back to cartridge world, they said it is perfect, called HP support again, (ticket  number 

8067878653)

 

To cut a long story short, after 3 or 4 calls, 3 visits with printer lugged along to Redington who are supposed to be HP repairers, and a replaced cartridge, I am still not able to take a single printout. The errors are 'printer paused' sometimes, 'printing system off' sometimes, cartridge not detected or whatever sometimes, or a simple red signal.

 

I am not in India, now, and my wife strugled with all technical things she could do, and finally called HP contact center and gave the same ticket number, the call center girl again started trouble-shooting tips, when my wife asked her to send someone, since she had no time for this, and she needs to take a printout urgently and she is also traveling out tonight, the call center girl simply informed HP NEVER SENDS ANY TECHNICIAN TO HOME.

 

IF I HAD KNOWN THIS EARLIER, I WOULD HAVE NEVER PURCHASED HP PRINTER

 

Please confirm if this is true, I have not taken this issue to cnsumer court and other consumer forums, thinking in this email some sort of assistance will be provided today immediately
