photo resize to 4 x6

Hi!  I have 8500a trying to use your software to print 4x6 portrait. I doesn't shrink fit to page are if I try to crop it it doesn't allow me to select the area i want .It will print 4x6 landscape ok but I want the same image on the 4x6 photo
