Hello,

I have the printer above and it won't print. I've tried multiple troubleshooting things from the manual and it won't print. It keeps saying it's out of paper (even though it's full of paper). It took the paper once out of hundreds of attempts and it didn't print anything. Any ideas on how to help? My warranty is up also :(

Comcast removed my hardwire connection to my HP p/c because they thought the port on the p/c connecting the modem might be defective. I now have my xfinity wireless modem working well re connectivity, but no printing from the p/c or iphone.

Windows 7

Office 2010

I'm printing on half-size paper 5.5 by 8.5 inches.  The text is centered on the paper in portrait mode.

In Office 2010 the size is "Custom".

In HP Printer Assistant the size is "Statement".

When I place the paper in the print feed, narrow end first, I adjust the paper guide.  The two sides move towards the center to fit the 5.5 width of the paper.

When I print, the print is off-center.  The print is off the left side of the paper and there is about a 2-inch margin on the right.

 

I don't think I'm doing anything wrong.  The Print and Scan Doctor says I have the latest driver.

This must be a bug.  Is there a work-around?

My p1102w laserjet refuses to stay in sleep mode so that it will stay visible on the network and accept wireless print jobs. The printer sleeps after 5 minutes, but then completely shuts off at 4 hours. I have changed the device settings through the control panel on each machine connected to the network to "never shut off" and still no positive results. I did not have problems until installing a new wireless router 2 months ago. I have also changed the wireless security settings back to "TKIP + AES" again with no results. The printer works perfectly as long as it is physically turned on or requested during the 4 hour sleep period. Any suggestions?

Hello

 

My C309A is about 3 jear old now, and has always worked fine (connected by LAN cable)

Only about 3 weeks ago it started to gave a error every 10-20 minits or so:

 

printer error

there is a problem with the printer

please turn printer off and on

 

I contacted survices and they told me replace the LAN cable is broken replace it(but also on WLAN i get the error )

(long story short: good luck with it you have no more warrenty)

 

So i tought the connecting part of the printer is broken

I bought a new printer the hp 7520

 

and it has the same problem when connecting via WLAN (via USB it fine)

but now i get a error code shown for less than one second(recorded it with my camera so i could play ot back)

both printers are connected to a sitecom wl-351 router wired or wireless

the router has the latest firmware,  and it worked fine for as long as i can remember with the C309A

untill about 3 weeks ago

 

i reseted the printers

i reseted the router

manualy enterd the ip addresses 

connected the c309 via wireless and wired

connected the 7520 via wireless

but still get the error

Via USB there are no problems, but there are 4 pc in the netwerk that use the printer so usb is not an option

I have a Photosmart Premium 309a All in One with a Ink System Failure 0xc19a0041code showing. Says to restart printer, I've tried this, tried installing new cartidges with no change in error message. I am running the printer from an HP laptop running Windows 7. Please advise, thanks!

When using the automatic top feed for copying and scanning it now prints a sold black line all the way down the page. Doesn't do it if I am just printing from computer or if I use the scan bed. Only when I use the top feed. I've already wiped down all glass areas and it is spotless. Please HELP!!!

Suddenly my printer is printing a page with 2345X in the upper left corner at the start of every printing job.  Have tried turning off and on, no change.  Tried with Excel and Word docs.  Have a MacBook Pro OS X 10.8.5.  Wasting a lot of paper. Help, please!

Hi:

 

I have a new HP Photosmart 6525 e-all-in-one printer.

 

Issue 1:

 

When the printer was first setup...running the setup.exe file, once all was successful,

it asked you to choose a photo to print on 4"x6" Advanced Photo Paper supplied with the printer.

It printed just fine...nice looking.

Now, I try to print a jpeg picture that I have an my laptop.

The 4"x6" photo paper is as before...lying glossy side down in the photo tray.

When I print, the printer grabs  8 1/2 ''  x  11"   HP multipurpose paper from the larger tray,

even though I specified that it was a photo of size 4" x 6"   !

If I remove the multipurpose paper from its tray, when I try to print, the printer says that I am out of paper.

Note:  I have at least 10 sheets of 4" x 6" photo paper in its tray.

So, even though I tell it to print a photo on 4" x 6" photo paper, it keeps looking for paper in the 8 1/2 "  x  11" tray.

I have shut the printer down, waited , restarted it, and the same error occurs.

 

Issue 2:

 

I also have the problem of thin white stripes, about the size of thick sewing thread, running from left-to-right along the width (8 1/2" side) of the paper. These stripes are separated vertically along the length of the paper by 9/16".

So,

each line , runs along the width of the paper....thus, 8 1/2 " long, parallel to the short edge of the paper.

Additional lines, parallel to these are separated vertically in the printout, ass you move down the length.

These lines are gaps ... where the the printer is not printing ink....you have white lines in the printouts.

The gap problem is for for both, photo and  text printouts:

I use 20 pound, 96 brightness, HP multipurpose paper, and the lines are very noticeable. 

I did not notice the gaps when the printer printed the initial test picture: this is due to the number of pixels (ink dots)

being printed in  much smaller area (so you dont' see them), along with the ink colors blending together.

I have not tried printing a photo on a 8 1/2" x 11" photo sheet, since it would waste my setup ink cartridges.

If these are problems, I need to return the printer.

 

Any ideas ?

It just started doing this.  I choose photo paper 4x6, then choose photo tray, then click Print.

The photo tray moves into position, the printer whirrs and makes its noises, then the photo tray slides back out and the message on screen says to add photo paper.  There is plenty of paper there, and even removing and adding more in the tray doesn't help.  Nothing seems to be jammed.

 

Any ideas?  Thanks...

Printer will not automatically cancel job after printing. Continues printing same job on booting up. Don't have a disk to re-install.

Message on screen.. unable to scan or copy....  but can print.. Everything was fine until I tried to scan something... I do not have a scanner hooked up.. Just want to be able to copy.

 

Have unplugged as suggested... plugged it directly into the wall... still will not copy.

when i put a page on the glass and copy, everything is fine.

 

when i run the same page through the adf/paper feed, i get 2 parallel lines though the copy.

 

any clues?

Officejet Pro 8600 trying to print a monarch sized envelope from Microsoft Word - always smears the black ink, sometimes only on the address but sometimes randomly on the face of the envelope. If I print a standard 8 1/2 x 11 page it works fine.

My problems with 8600 Officejet Pro on Windows 8 are as follows. I follow the print procedure which means I select the proper photo paper and quality then click the icon indicating I would like 2 4X6 prints per page [the picture only shows one print??] and place a single sheet of photo paper, glossy side down in the paper tray on top of regular paper. When I then click "print" the copier only prints a single photo per sheet instead of the two selected. Also, for some reason, the printer will not pull out the photo paper but prints on the regular paper just beneath.

My Photosmart Plus B209 printer will not print. I last printed something a few days or a week ago with no problem. I tried to print two days ago and while my laptop does connect with the printer, processes the print job and reports "done", and the printer has paper and ink and is "on", only blank pages come out. The screen for my printer does not have a "print" icon any more, only "photo", "copy" and "scan".

My computer tells me my printer door is open and it is not.  As a result, I can't print anything.  There are a number of documents in my print queue but until I can get rid of the "open door" notice, I can't do anything.  Any help?

Have reviewed support sites & this problem is not described; have turned off & on; etc.   It is printing a self test page; it will do a photocopy; I  just can't clear printer's status.
